This free program is an intellectual property of WANSCAM, Inc. It would be the perfect camera for me if only it worked with my beloved Synology installation, but anyone else should be happy with it. The program's installer files are generally known as DeviceClient.exe, IPCameraTool.exe, IPCC.exe, VideoClient.exe or WANSCAM.exe etc. The face tracking is a funny gadget, which can be disabled one the novelty effect has passed. Onvif Device Manager, IP Camera Viewer, Onvifer, Anycam.IO or HappyTime all detect the camera straight away. The only one that failed is, of course, the one I use Synology Surveillance Station. I started up the searchtool but i couldnt find an ip adress. I hooked my camera to a combinaiton of a modem and router (this is a new router) that also has a lan connection with my PC.
WANSCAM IP INSTALL
In fact, all the 3rd party programs I have tried detected the camera as an ONVIF compliant device. The Wanscam HW0026 is a cheap and tiny Wi-Fi IP Camera with many qualities, and with the rare particularity to be directly and fully compatible with Synology Surveillance Station I have never tried a Wanscam IP Camera before so I was curious to see if it would be any different from the crowd. I recently tried to turn it on and install it, but i coulnt find my CD so i downloaded the software from the wanscam website. However I fail to see any improvement in Down/Up and Right/Left panning controls inverted and the Onvif compatility. So you can easily check up your cameras or use them as baby monitors. Take access to your cameras over your home network or over the internet. ONVIF works, except with Synology (and I think its their fault) With wanscam FC you can control your wanscam ip camera or make settings on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
